GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Serving on the Government Relations Committee is the easiest way to get involved with our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy Committee meets on the 4th Monday of every month at noon. We encourage any member with an interest in business issues to attend these meetings. The meeting agenda includes updates from our local, state and federal officials; pending legislation that affects business; and plays a key role in helping us develop our legislative agenda for each legislative session at the S.C. Statehouse.
THE UPSTATE CHAMBER COALITION
Representing 12 chambers, 8,000 member-businesses and more than 300,000 employees across the 10-county Upstate area, the Upstate Chamber Coalition serves as the voice of Upstate business concerns, dedicated to improving the region's business climate by advocating for business-friendly legislation, developing solutions to address business concerns and working with area elected officials.
SPARTANBURG TOMORROW
What is Spartanburg Tomorrow?
Spartanburg Tomorrow is a non-partisan, issues-based political action committee (PAC) launched in 2008 dedicated to giving voice to the concerns of Upstate businesses at the state government level. The PAC works hand-in-hand with OneSpartanburg, Inc. to give voice to the concerns of area businesses. The PAC can make contributions to local-or state-level elected officials who have supported passage of items on OneSpartanburg, Inc.’s Legislative Agenda. Spartanburg Tomorrow can also advocate policy and position on key business issues. The PAC's board of directors decide how to use PAC funds, with board members appointed by the our organization’s Executive Board in two-year, staggered terms.
Why should I contribute?
By contributing to Spartanburg Tomorrow, you'll be part of a team collectively supporting the legislators who support our Legislative Agenda and influence policy for the benefit of business across the Upstate.
